'A family run salon'
Previously known as Sonia's Hair Salon we have now become Salon Seventy Four. This big decision is to symbolise the partnership between mother and son, to move forward as a team and as a salon to help provide the best experience possible for our clients.
Sonia's hairdressing career started at 15, shampooing at the Sandbanks Hotel. After receiving her Diploma aswell as her City and Guilds in hair and beauty,Sonia at the age of 20, she was offered a job in Dubai where she worked for a member of the Royal Family of Sharjar at a Health and Fitness Spa. 3 years later Sonia returned to Bournemouth and continued hairdressing at the Robert Fielding Salon within Debenhams as a stylist, before being promoted to Manageress. With starting a family she started her own freelance Hair and Beauty business.In 2012 she purchased Sonia's Hair Salon
Sean's career also started at 15 as a shampooist. A year later he took on an apprenticeship and received his qualifications. After moving to a local salon, he continued with his high standards and great work ethic to become assistant manager. After gaining more invaluable experience and also running a daily busy column, he decided to settle and build his career at Sonia's Hair Salon making it a family run salon.
Heidi is the longest serving member of our team, having started working 12 years ago. She will look after you during your visit to make it as relaxing as possinble.Nothing is too much trouble and Heidi takes great pride in making sure that your salon visit runs smoothly.

There are avaible spaces on the main road with a maximum stay of 2 hours but is at your own risk. Alternatively please use the surrounding side roads nearby.
Please be aware if you arrive late for your appointment it will still end when scheduled to assure that our next client is not delayed. Very late arrival may mean your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
We do understand that sometimes cancellations can be unavoidable. However, we require 48 hours notice if you need to change/cancel your appointment. If you do a 'no shows' and cancel in less than 48 hours notice you may be charged a small fee on your next visit. If this is a constant occurance you may be asked to pay a deposit if the appointment is over 2 hours.
